Additional Info:
The mixture was designed to contain species appropriate for as wide a geography of the country as possible.
The seed mixture contains a balance of annual, biennial and perennial plant species.
If distributed properly, there is enough seed in each packet to cover a 10 to 20 ft2 area.
When planting wildflowers, patience is always a key ingredient. We often say that wildflower plantings follow a unique strategy of “In year 1, it sleeps. In year 2, it creeps. In year 3, it leaps”.
For successful seed germination, it is required that the seeds are able to contact bare soil. Increased seed germination will occur if the seeds are lightly raked into the soil at a shallow depth.
Seed packets should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry environment to maintain seed viability.
